This trip report presents a selection of photographic portraits from our 5-day Bird-Photo-Tour in March 2026 to Oahu Island, Hawaii. Hawaii is home to 99% of the breeding population of Laysan Albatrosses and so this Bird-Photo-Tour focussed on this particular bird in addition to other seabirds plus the island's breeding endemic birds. Hawaii is a state of contrasts with both the most extinct number of birds in the world (71-species) and also the most introduced non-native birds of any other archipelago (55-species). Therefore, this gallery of portraits shows a mix of both native birds as well as non-native species from continents as widespread as Africa, Asia, North America and South America.
